Imagine, no thankfuls – what I mean is; what if there was nothing to be thankful for – can you Imagine?
“It’s easy if you try"
Thankful # 1-everything “came together” when the Fab Four met; last week would have been John’s Lennon 74th birthday - Thank you Mr. Lennon for all your beautiful words -
“I am he as you are he as you are me; And we are all together”
I am the Walrus by John Lennon and credited to Lennon/McCarthy
Speaking of things coming together –
Thankful # 2-Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel Peace Prize, this is something to be thankful, for all girls all over the world–without getting into the politics-I hope that all girls find it inspirational; especially for my daughter who needs to understand the importance of education on all levels.
Thankful # 3-Malala Yousafzai’s father, did you see his speech on Ted Talk–in his speech he tells his audience that often he was asked, what did you teach your daughter for her to become so strong and determined to learn.
His answer is “don’t ask me what I did for Malala, rather ask me what I didn't do for my daughter, and that is I did not clip her wings”
Thankful # 4-to the dad’s everywhere, who are proud of their daughters–who don’t clip their daughter’s wings as well, for placing them on a pedestal because they matter-for making them feel loved, significant and powerful - Nick you know I am talking about you-Thank you
Thankful # 5-to all the strong independent women before Malala - thank you for your work.
Thankful # 6–James, thank you for helping me every morning getting everything done before we head out ; and for helping with the shopping yesterday too.
Thankful # 7-I am thankful that I was able to feed my family last week – it is not that I can’t, but it should not be taken for granted and it should be a thankful always
Thankful # 8-I am thankful that I was able to post every day last week for Squaarekat and Mangia, Mangia…No Talk! It’s a 30-day challenge October’s NaBloPoMo for Blogher, and I am half way through the month - YAY!
Thankful # 9-It’s really been a quiet time–maybe it’s because of Amelia, we are doing less–it’s nice for a change.
Thankful # 10-No major drama last week – speaking of less drama, some of Amelia’s friends have contacted her through email, texting, and face time – they have sent her get well wishes with her teachers in the form of cards, and she is thrilled. I am thankful ! Yay!
What were your thankfuls for the week?
