Ten Things of Thankful
I'm no fun anymore
I am sorry
It's getting to the point where I'm no fun anymore
I am sorry
Sometimes it hurts so badly I must cry out loud
I am lonely
I am yours, you are mine, you are what you are
You make it hard
Suite: Judy Blue Eyes by Crosby Stills & Nash
Yes that is me – I’m no fun anymore – seriously, I see it and feel it; the problem is I can’t switch gears anymore – therefore I am thankful that I figured that out, I’ll let it go – and will let it all go from now on. Life is too short for me not to make everyone that counts smile and laugh.
Yesterday we did nothing – I did not go food shopping or clean the house – James went over a friend’s house- so it was Amelia and me – we had lunch, finished the butter pecan ice cream right out of the container, all while watching a movie - We watched the movie Belle – a nice mother and daughter movie. We both needed it.

Amelia has all of her teachers in place to visit her while she is recovering. Because she is not able to go to school she is eligible for home tutoring - a teacher comes to our home every day for about an hour or an hour and ½, twice a week she gets speech for 30 minutes, and she also has an ESL teacher visiting her once a week.
I explained to Amelia that this is an actual opportunity; she is receiving so much attention academically, without any distractions, that she should take advantage of it. I’m thankful that I can see this and point it out to her.
It was meet the teachers’ night at school last week, and although I was a tad upset with Amelia’s actual teacher, I am Thankful I went because for so many years I have been advocating for my daughter to get what she needs to excel. After the visit, I know exactly what Amelia’s additional needs are and that will be communicated by letter soon.
I am Thankful that my husband helps me with the dirty dishes after dinner every night.
Last week was also meet the teachers at the middle school- we had to actually walk James’s schedule on a certain day – I love all his teachers, they are wonderful; they love and are passionate of the subject they teach – he will be learning American History, the Periodic Table , Italian and music – James with all their exuberance you cannot fail.
His English teacher made me cry – she is a bubbly, fast-talking, non-coffee drinker, gives parents chocolates after she makes them cry teacher – because in a folder marked James was this:
Thank you James
I had my first pumpkin ale for the season!
Happy Birthday to Jack – you are awesome and I love you!
We celebrated Jack’s Birthday last week; tomorrow is Mimi’s (on the right) Birthday too- Happy Birthday – thank you for helping out watching Amelia.
What are you Thankful for?
